When did you start swimming?

Ella Beth Oxentine: I started swimming competitively when I was in 1st grade

Amanda McLean: I started swimming my freshman year

Taylor Lennex: I started swimming 13 years ago

Favorite event?

Ella Beth Oxentine: 100 Backstroke

Amanda McLean: 200 Freestyle Relay

Taylor Lennex: 100 Butterfly

What do you love about swimming?

Ella Beth Oxentine: I love getting to be part of a team and being able to do what I love. I’ve been doing it for so long I don’t know how I will let it go after my senior season is over

Amanda McLean: I love being able to connect with the swimmers we’re competing against and getting closer to teammates

Taylor Lennex: I love the feeling of gliding through the water

What do you appreciate about being part of the East Burke Swimming team?

Ella Beth Oxentine: I appreciate the support we have on the East Burke swim team. We support each other and cheer everyone on even if our team has already finished the event, and we continue to support all the teams around us

Amanda McLean: I appreciate that everyone works as hard as possible to be better and try new things

Taylor Lennex: I appreciate my coach and friends who I’ve swam with
