Regan Winkler, Draughn, Brevard Softball

Winkler was responsible to end her junior season at Brevard College on the right note by recording a 2-RBI double in the bottom of the sixth inning to lead her Lady Tornaodes in a 3-2 victory over Methodist University.

She finished the season second in batting average (.381) with crossing over the 100 career hits mark (56 at Brevard).

Winkler led Brevard with 32 hits this season accounting for 13 RBIs and six runs.

Maddison Powell, Draughn, Caldwell CC Softball

Powell played 45 games for the Lady Cobras this season, including a stretch of games at the catcher position, and was named First Team All-Region 10 as a utility player.

She has totaled 28 hits, 22 RBIs, and 33 runs, including four RBIs against Surry CC and Montreat College JVs.

The Lady Cobras fell short in a return to the NJCAA World Series tournament by falling in both games of the Region 10 tournament to Surry Community College (3-1) and Patrick & Henry Community College (1-0).

Katie Cozort, Draughn, Lenoir-Rhyne Softball

Cozort played 14 games for the Lady Bears this season while being in multiple positions

She contributed a .417 batting average during South Atlantic Conference play, including a run and a hit against Coker, Emory & Henry, and Limestone College.

Maddie Crouch, Draughn, Southern Wesleyan Softball

Crouch played 43 games in her freshman season leading the Lady Warriors in stolen bases (14).

She ranked fourth in batting average (.318) with 41 hits (9 doubles, 2 triples, 3 HRs), 32 runs, and 19 RBIs.

During the Conference Carolinas tournament, Crouch accounted for 3 hits, 2 runs, and 2 RBIs.

Katie Hamm, Draughn, Lees McRae Softball

Hamm pitched in five games for the Lady Bobcats for 5.2 innings, throwing four strikeouts.

Trey Jensen, Draughn, Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball

Jensen has played in 15 games for the Bears scoring seven runs, including one in a South Atlantic Conference tournament matchup with Carson-Newman and an NCAA D-II World Series matchup with Central Missouri.

With a .250 batting average for the season, Jensen has registered two hits and two runs batted in.

The Bears ended their season with a 50-15 overall mark.

KJ Byrd, East Burke, Louisville Track & Field

Byrd continued to set history in the Cardinals track & field history books

He set his new freshman record of 7,849 points in the decathlon event at the ACC Outdoor Championships finishing runner-up to teammate Paul Kallenberg.

Byrd qualified for the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championship in Eugene, Oregon
