Newman: spending time with my guys and getting to build relationships that will go beyond football

Taylor: the physicality

Sigmon: I love getting to play the game with all my buddies

Weston: I love the bonds and great friendships i’ve made throughout my entire career

Fraley: I love the friendships i’ve made along the way that will last a long time

Hicks: the adrenaline from the game

Deal: the brotherhood you gain along the way

Saine: the physical aspect and the respect for the team and the game

Favorite moment playing at EBHS?

Newman: rushing for my career-high 263 yards at West Caldwell as a sophomore

Taylor: beating Freedom my sophomore year

Sigmon: beating Draughn

Weston: my first ever HS game against Freedom when I ran “counter” almost every play and had the most touchdowns and receiving yards I’ve ever had in a single game

Fraley: my junior year when (Coach Fred) Brown called “H pop” against West Caldwell and I got my first ever varsity touchdown

Hicks: playing with teammates

Deal: sharing a sack and causing a fumble

Saine: going against West Caldwell

Advice to younger players?

Newman: don’t give up when things get rough because there is always something waiting on the other side. Romans 8:18

Taylor: don’t take a snap for granted because before you know it, it’ll be over

Sigmon: you never know when your last play is so give every play 100%

Weston: don’t put a game before life, football is fun and it is even some dude’s identity just as it was mine. But focusing on the friendships you have and just having fun with the guys you play with for that short amount of time you get to play together is more important than winning. Also don’t let Coach (Brandon) Bethel fool you, he is soft

Fraley: to enjoy the time you have now with your buddies. When I was younger, all I heard was that time flies (and) now that i’m a senior, I understand what they meant. Also, Coach Bethel is a soft teddy bear, don’t let him intimidate you

Hicks: enjoy every moment of it

Deal: appreciate the moments

Saine: work hard and stay smart
