Spottswood: the friendships i’ve made

Clark: being able to build a team and work together with the same goal of winning each week

Fletcher: the relationships and memories i’ve made throughout the season

Lewis: the discipline it takes to succeed

Tillery: I love everything about football from the practices, games, and spending time with the team; it all puts a smile on my face

Smith: the lessons it teaches about life

Favorite memory playing for DHS?

Spottswood: getting that first win this year

Clark: my freshman year playing on varsity as one of the only two freshmen to get moved up after the JV season and going all the way to the fifth round of the playoffs

Fletcher: scoring my first touchdown (vs West Caldwell) and celebrating with teammates after

Lewis: the bus rides to games my junior year

Tillery: the midnight practice we had my sophomore year during team camp

Smith: the time i’ve spent with my brothers on the football field

Advice for younger players?

Spottswood: enjoy it while it lasts

Clark: buy in to the process and get in the weight room as much as possible and just have fun playing football while you can no matter the circumstances

Fletcher: keep going no matter how hard it gets because the effort will always pay off

Lewis: no matter how rough it gets, have fun

Tillery: take it all in while you still can, don’t be too quick to grow up

Smith: follow your heart, whether that’s in football or life outside the game
