Lady Cavs Making History

Icard- The 2023-24 season continues to build up to be the most historic for the East Burke girls’ basketball program.

So far, four team records have been rewritten, with many others within reach.

The latest new set record was a 100-point game vs. West Lincoln at home, which also served as senior night for three Lady Cavaliers.

When asked about their reaction to this moment, all three seniors had one word in common: TEAMWORK.

“We are more of a team this year and have more chemistry,” said Kassie Turner.

“Our team chemistry is so amazing, and everyone brings something to the table,” said Kamiah Lawing

“This all boils down to great communication and team effort. We all work together, and there is not one selfish player,” said Ally Moore.

Tuesday’s win locks up an undisputed conference championship for just the sixth time under Crystal Bartlett’s leadership, who now has 195 career wins in nine seasons.

The Lady Cavaliers wrap up the regular season Friday at West Caldwell.
